Financing for Energy and Infrastructure Projects

Energy and Infrastructure S.C.A., Société d’Investissement en Capital à Risque (SICAR), is a Luxemburg based investment company which provides mezzanine finance (subordinated debt) for energy and infrastructure projects. Investments are primarily made in OECD countries with a focus on:

  • Energy and renewable energy projects (conventional plants, biomass plants, geothermal, photovoltaic and wind plants)
  • Waste-to-energy and recycling projects
  • Rolling stock projects
  • Other projects (e.g. biodiesel, ports)


Energy Infrastructure makes mezzanine capital investments in greenfield projects as well as in operational projects (refinancing) which are embedded in a project finance structure.

Energy Infrastructure is managed by Energy and Infrastructure Management Sarl, Luxembourg and advised by AIL Structured Finance Ltd., Zurich, Switzerland.

Project developers seeking mezzanine financing are invited to submit their business plan to the investment advisor.
